Job Title: Social Media Intern – Pathways 2 Success

Job Objective:
The Social Media Intern will work closely with the Digital Marketing Manager to assist in creating and managing
engaging social media content for the Pathways 2 Success after-school program. The intern will gain hands-on
experience in developing campaigns that increase engagement, promote program events, and enhance the
online presence of the program. This role provides an opportunity to contribute creatively while learning the ins
and outs of social media management in a professional, non-profit setting.
Essential Job Functions:

Assist in developing and curating engaging content for platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and

Twitter, showcasing the Pathways 2 Success program’s events and achievements.

Help create and manage a social media content calendar to ensure consistent updates and community engagement.

Schedule and post social media content under the supervision of the Digital Marketing Manager.

Monitor social media platforms for comments, feedback, and inquiries, providing timely and professional responses.

Track and analyze social media performance metrics (e.g., likes, comments, shares, and follower growth) and report insights to the Digital Marketing Manager.

Stay informed about the latest social media trends, best practices, and tools, and recommend ideas to enhance the program’s digital presence.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including graphic designers, photographers, and video editors, to assist in producing high-quality content.

Assist in planning and executing social media campaigns, events, and promotions.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Digital Marketing Manager.
Required Education and Skills:

Currently pursuing a degree in marketing, communications, digital media, or a related field.

Basic knowledge of social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Creative Suite (preferred but not required).

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create engaging and professional content.

Creative thinker with a passion for social media and a willingness to learn and grow in the field.

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask.

Enthusiastic about working in a team environment and open to constructive feedback.
Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university.

Flexible availability, with the ability to dedicate approximately 10-15 hours per week to the role.

Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and use a keyboard and mouse for social media posting.

Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

Must have reliable transportation to travel to program sites if necessary.
